Welcome to our ESL 6998 discussion! Each of the discussion questions from the reading are listed separately. You should post a response to each question AND take the time to comment on others' postings. Remember, this is a discussion! Also, feel free to use the "Comments" category for any other question or comment that you would like to communicate to colleagues.

Before you begin, please note the following, and read the required article:

DUE: Between May 18 - June 12, 2015

Reading:Santos, M.; McClelland, J.; & Handley, M. (2011). Language lessons on immigrant identity, food culture, and the search for home. TESOL Journal 2.2, June 2011, 203-228.

Purpose:This assignment includes reading a research article that summarizes a project in California. The researchers focused on adult ESL learners and how they think about food, health, and home. For this assignment, you will reflect on your own experiences and that of the themes and findings in the article.Because we do not meet as a class, we’ll have an online discussion about the article via a Minnesota Literacy Council (MLC) discussion board.
