Accuplacer Test Practice
What is the Accuplacer Reading Comprehension test?
The Accuplacer test includes 20 questions on reading comprehension.
There are two types of questions:
a) Reading passages – These require you to read a short or long passage and answer a question based on the text. These may include explicit statements related to the main idea, explicit statements related to a secondary idea, application, or inference.
b) Sentence relationships – These require you to name the relationship between two given sentences. For example, a second sentence might support the first, contradict it, or reinforce the same information.
When taking the Accuplacer test, you may not use any notes. Use of a personal calculator is not allowed; however, an on-screen “pop-up” calculator is available on some Accuplacer math items. There is no time limit for completing the Accuplacer Test.
